On May 5, 2013, the artist married her art as part of an exploration of identity. Photographer Olivia Johnston captured the day.

A tape recorder was used to record the audio of the ceremony. It was later altered with guitar pedals, and paired with images of her mother's wedding dress. The pieces became part of the show Systems of Identity.

Identity is an ever-changing and deeply complex aspect of human life. Constantly evolving, the concept of self develops through subjective experience, and personal identity becomes a system that determines the choices we make, and by which we guide our morals. This constant exchange between heart and mind guides the direction of our lives, accompanying us until death.

Systems of Identity represents an exploration into interpretations of human identity. These four artists, exploring concerns of the self, as well as questions of sexuality, gender, development, and individuality, express very clearly the intimate nature of personal identity. Yet, a universality also exists here, with identity thus defining itself as a shared human experience that each will experience in his or her own way.
